Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an RN Registered Nurse Cardiac Telemetry for a top Healthcare client.
This role provides clinical expertise and specialized care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or high-acuity telemetry environment, ensuring efficient, high-quality patient outcomes. The RN is responsible for the continuous monitoring and assessment of cardiac patients, requiring strong critical thinking and effective communication to coordinate complex care plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct, specialized nursing care to an assigned patient population within the high-acuity Cardiac Telemetry/PCU setting.
- Conduct continuous monitoring and assessment of patient cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and overall clinical status, reporting changes promptly.
- Administer medications and implement physician orders, adhering to strict safety protocols for efficient and high-quality care delivery.
- Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment to manage and address acute patient conditions and potential clinical deterioration.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and update comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain clear, concise, and thorough documentation of all nursing interventions and patient progress in the electronic health record.
- Maintain service excellence and effective interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
Education
- Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
- Current Florida State Registered Nurse (RN) license or appropriate compact licensure is required.
- If holding a compact license, an active FL RN license must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
Skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading/comprehending written instructions and following complex verbal instructions.
- Basic personal computer (PC) skills for charting and record maintenance.
