Greenberg-Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at healthcare facility in Los Angeles. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory diseases and disorders. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients, utilizing various respiratory therapies and technologies to optimize respiratory function.
Your expertise in managing respiratory conditions and your compassionate approach to patient care will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our patients.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory therapy needs.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator management.
- Monitor patients' responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Respiratory Therapy license issued by the appropriate state board.
- Credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- U. S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Education
Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy (RT) Program
Minimum Experience
2 years of RT experience, 1 Year in critical care
Required Certification: Registered Respiratory
Therapist (RRT) Credential: Issued by National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
State Licensure Requirement: Respiratory Board of California
