Position Overview
PingCAP is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our global accounting team. This role is critical to supporting the company’s worldwide growth. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong expertise in revenue accounting, systems, and process improvement.
You will collaborate closely with the Accounting, Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Systems teams to design, enhance, and execute scalable revenue processes. Drive the month-end revenue related close process with high quality and velocity. This role is ideal for someone who wants to drive transformation across the order-to-cash (O2C) lifecycle and strengthen our global revenue operations.
Responsibilities
Billing and Collections
- Leveraging Netsuite billing to issue customer invoices on a monthly basis in accordance with contract terms.
- Monitor invoice status and collaborate with Sales and other stakeholders to collect overdue receivables.
- Lead initiatives to automate billing and collection processes using NetSuite and other tools/technologies.
Month-End Close
- Participate in the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to revenues.
- Ensure revenue and related sales commission are recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and internal revenue recognition policies.
- Assist with technical accounting assessments for non-standard contract terms and ensure proper revenue treatment.
- Execute robust month-end revenue procedures, including:(Disaggregated analytical review, Reconciliations (e.g., billing, collections, deferred revenue,Deferred revenue and contract liability classification)
- Apply cash receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in the accounting and classification of cloud cost, ensuring the accuracy of gross margin.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Serve as a key driver in transforming and enhancing order-to-cash processes to improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency of revenue recognition workflows.
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to streamline and automate revenue and accounting processes.
- Champion the use of AI technologies within Finance to increase automation, reduce manual work, and improve insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales Ops, IT/Systems, Product, Customer Success) to ensure data integrity, system improvements, and end-to-end process alignment.
Qualifications
- Bilingual: Proficiency in English (primary working language) and Mandarin Chinese.
- Big Four experience and CPA (or equivalent certification) are strong pluses.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, ideally within SaaS and Cloud costing or technology companies.
- Passionate about adopting new technologies, including AI tools, to automate processes and enhance productivity.
- Experience working in a global organization across multiple time zones (APAC + US).
- Hands-on, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and practical application in real-world scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
