Position: Cold Caller
Schedule: Mountain Standard Time (Dayshift) (Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm MST)
We are building a high-performing outbound sales operation and are looking for driven, disciplined, and coachable Sales Development Representatives (Cold Callers) to support an insurance-focused sales team.
This role centers on outbound prospecting and appointment setting for licensed insurance professionals. You will initiate conversations with potential customers, identify insurance needs, pre-qualify prospects, and book high-quality appointments that convert into policy sales.
This is not a traditional call-center role. We are looking for confident communicators who can think on their feet, build trust quickly, and operate effectively in a regulated insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume outbound prospecting via phone and email
- Follow structured outreach sequences, call scripts, and qualification frameworks
- Engage prospects to understand insurance needs, coverage gaps, and eligibility
- Pre-qualify prospects by identifying interest level, decision-making readiness, and timing
- Book confirmed, qualified appointments for licensed insurance agents
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in CRM systems
- Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics, including daily call volume targets of 100–200+ calls per day
- Conduct follow-up and reminder calls prior to scheduled appointments
- Communicate proactively with internal sales stakeholders regarding appointment status
- Manage reschedules and no-shows, which are common in insurance sales
Requirements
- Proven experience in cold calling, SDR, or outbound appointment setting roles
- Strong spoken and written English, with the ability to speak confidently with U.S. consumers
- Solid objection-handling skills and ability to guide conversations toward next steps
- Coachable and disciplined, with the ability to follow scripts and qualification guidelines
- Results-driven mindset with strong accountability and consistency
- Comfortable using CRM systems, dialers, and sales tools.
- Prior experience setting appointments that resulted in closed insurance policies is a strong plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated sales environments
- Familiarity with insurance products such as health, life, auto, home, or supplemental coverage
- Experience working with U.S.-based prospects
- Prior use of CRM tools, dialing platforms, Google Sheets, Slack, or similar sales software
