About the Role
We are seeking a high-impact Sales Director to lead and accelerate our revenue growth. This role is suited to a commercially driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment and has a strong background in selling technical and professional services from small-sized to enterprise organisations.
The Sales Director will be responsible for owning the full sales lifecycle from market outreach and pipeline creation through to deal closure and account growth. This role requires a proactive hunter mentality, including the ability to identify new markets, build cold outreach strategies, and create scalable prospecting lists across email, phone, and social channels.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the company’s customer base
- Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and handover
Pipeline Generation & Cold Outreach
- Proactively source and qualify new leads through cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and other outbound channels
- Research, build, and maintain targeted prospect lists using internal tools, CRM systems, and external data sources
- Design and continuously optimise outreach sequences to maximise engagement and conversion
- Maintain a healthy and predictable sales pipeline through consistent outbound activity
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Partner with clients to deeply understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives
- Position solutions clearly and persuasively to senior business and technology stakeholders
- Respond to client needs in a timely, professional, and consultative manner
Collaboration & Brand Building
- Work closely with marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and outbound efforts
- Actively self-promote and represent the business on platforms such as LinkedIn
- Create and share content that supports personal credibility and strengthens the company brand
- Participate in digital networking activities to expand reach and generate new opportunities
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and forecasts in the CRM
- Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts
- Use data and insights to continuously improve sales effectiveness
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably selling:
- Software development services
- Customer support services
- Project or professional services
- Application management or managed services
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from strategy to close
- Demonstrated success in cold outreach and outbound lead generation
- Strong ability to articulate value propositions and position offerings against competitors
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using and understanding AI tools such as ChatGPT to support sales productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot
- Experience selling within platform or marketplace-based environments
- Knowledge of the remote work and distributed teams industry, including its commercial and operational challenges
