Purpose of role
This role will be responsible to develop and drive new business opportunities in Indonesia’s minerals market and asset management as part of strategic plan of John Crane Indonesia by identifying, securing and maintain relationship in the mining area.
Key activities
•Drives profitable revenue growth by developing new sources of revenue from new and existing accounts, supporting Indonesia sales team in selling, promoting and educating the team on the minerals market and asset management.
•Develop Indonesia Minerals Market sales plan aligned with John Crane strategy
•Execute plan to exceed sales targets from existing and new customer account
•Join customer visits with sales representative
•Facilitate price and negotiations in accordance with the guidelines
•Presenting the product range and its technical attributes / benefits for customers
•Provide internal training program for the Mineral Market
•Support and coordinate customer enquiries, quote preparation for non-pricelist products and work with Application Engineering
•Work with regional marketing team to develop marketing and training materials
•Preparation of monthly reports to communicate plan and progress
•Responsible for overall service delivery levels, performance, revenue, profitability and efficiency of asset management service contracts and projects, including managing the team assigned
•Ensure that all aspects of scope of services are completed within the projects’, timeline, budget and to a technical standard that is compliant with JC’s, Smiths’ and customers’ QHSE processes, procedures and standards.
•Adhere to Safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system. Including:
• Active participation and contribution to specific safety initiatives in meetings.
• Report all hazardous and unsafe acts.
• Actively promote positive safety culture.
• Adhere to Quality procedure and policies in accordance with the Integrated ISO Management System (9001; 14001; 45001) (where applicable) quality assurance system. Including:
• Compliance to work instructions.
• Raising corrective actions for all non-conformances.
• Identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience
•Minimum 9 years’ experience in similar capacity
•Had experience in managing people
Technical Skills
•Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Sound knowledge of rotating and process equipment, knowledge of mechanical seals
People Skills
•Ability to effectively manage and communicate in both written and spoken English
