Scala / Java Backend Engineer

The project focuses on automating valuation and price verification processes for financial instruments in the financial services sector. It ensures that calculated market data, including listed and OTC instruments, interest rate curves, and volatility surfaces, is accurate, validated against trusted external sources, and properly categorized.

The team works with large volumes of risk and trade data, performing data quality checks, fair value categorization, and maintaining complete audit trails. Automation of business logic is a key focus, supporting Independent Price Verification (IPV) workflows and improving operational efficiency.

The project leverages backend development and database management using Scala, Java, Spring Boot, and relational/NoSQL databases. The role offers exposure to financial technology, valuation control processes, and large-scale data management, contributing to accuracy, compliance, and streamlined workflows in trading and risk management operations.
