QED.ai (https://qed.ai) is a tech company focused on public health and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. We build the digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence that empowers the intersection of aid and scientific inquiry, including epidemiological surveillance of HIV and malaria, and in-situ nutrient analysis of crops and soils using spectroscopy and computer vision. Our funding comes from philanthropic and governmental organizations such as the Global Fund, CDC, USAID, and the Gates Foundation.
We are looking for a ScanForm HIV Care and Treatment Field Support Officer in Malawi.
Provision of technical support and assistance to HIV service providers, and assistance to district-level MOH officers with data quality monitoring and evaluation. Technical support encompasses both ScanForm and HIV medical guidelines.
Identify data-related problems, diagnose causes, and resolve or delegate issues to appropriate staff.
Provide in-person training and mentorship, including travel to sites as necessary, and joining periodic MOH supervisions.
Remote technical assistance guided by data, answering phone calls reactively, and also making phone calls pro-actively, to improve data quality.
Provide weekly communications summarizing field experiences and feedback from users, including periodic composition of field reports.
Residency in Malawi.
Age: From 30 to 55
+5 years of professional work experience working as a certified ART provider in Malawi.
+3 years of experience working as an ART supervisor.
Possesses at least a certificate in clinical medicine or nursing.
Native fluency in both English and Chichewa.
Emotional intelligence and strong face-to-face communications skills. Patience.
Ability to listen carefully to clients and accurately relay their needs back to the team.
Strong logical reasoning and attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of ScanForm.
Ability to compose field reports and summaries.
Enthusiasm for improving health care and data management for patients, nurses, and doctors.
Full-time employment of at least 40 hours per week.
Basic digital literacy with computers and smartphones, and interest in technology and learning new things.
Team-oriented attitude.

Experience with lab diagnostics and/or a certificate in biomedical sciences.
Experience working with Excel spreadsheets.
Fluency in Tumbuka.
