Security Engineer

Optimiza is looking for a skilled and proactive Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting our organization from cyber threats by implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security architectures and strategies to protect confidential data and assess risk.
• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or suspicious activity using SIEM tools.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Respond to security incidents, conducting thorough investigations, and implementing remediation measures.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure software development practices.
• Continually research and evaluate emerging security technologies and tools to enhance the security posture.
• Provide training and awareness programs for employees on security best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in information security, risk management, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, governance, and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Experience with security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection).
• Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing techniques.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM) are highly desirable.
