Athena Cloud Limited is looking for a talented and driven Security Engineer to join our Purple Team. As a pioneering provider of Sovereign Cloud, Sovereign AI, and Sovereign Data solutions, we are committed to ensuring the highest levels of security for our clients' data and systems. In this role, you will take on a pivotal position that bridges the gap between offensive and defensive security strategies to enhance our security posture across the organization.

Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying and mitigating threats while cooperating closely with other teams to simulate attacks and develop effective defense mechanisms. You will conduct in-depth security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management, as well as collaborate with incident response efforts. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to anticipate and respond to emerging security threats, ensuring our solutions remain robust and secure against evolving risks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct threat assessments, security reviews, and penetration testing.
  • Collaborate with other security teams to develop and execute security strategies.
  • Design and implement effective defense mechanisms and security controls.
  • Document findings and share insights with relevant teams to improve security practices.
  • Provide security training and awareness programs across the organization.
  • Assist in incident response efforts and post-incident analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Security Engineer or similar role, with a focus on purple team methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of offensive security concepts, penetration testing tools, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with defensive security strategies and incident response processes.
  • Experience with security frameworks, standards, and compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation and tool development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to security.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, CISSP) are a plus but not mandatory.
