We are currently looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our travel/lifestyle team!
Job responsibilities:
- Secure consistent and quality media placements with proactive pitching
- Takes the lead on overseeing management of activities on all accounts, as well as troubleshooting with minimal supervision
- Lead day-to-day client communication, ensuring all updates and deliverables are on track
- Maintain client relationships through meetings, conference calls, general contact
- Responsible for client satisfaction and strategic results
- Prepare monthly meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, industry stakeholders, including brand partners and event organizers.
- Write media pitches, press releases, media alerts, photo captions, etc.
- Organize and attend events, including press trips and media tours
- Monitor, engage, assist in providing strategic counsel and brainstorm innovative campaigns on behalf of clients in the digital media space
- Ideate creative media/revenue-driving campaigns, packages, and partnerships for clients
- Assist with developing strategic and creative integrated PR initiatives
- Recognize if there is a potential client problem and bring it to supervisor’s attention with a suggested solution
- Perform in-depth research and analysis of clients
- Proactively identify opportunities to newsjack and leverage breaking stories for clients
- Stay on top of current industry news, trends and technology by reading widely and daily
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff, reviewing drafts and supporting their professional growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including brand partners and event organizers.
Qualifications:
- Located in Miami
- Ability to travel for work when needed
- Undergraduate degree in related field
- Four or more years work experience in travel, lifestyle, destination, and/or hospitality PR; previous experience at an agency is preferred
- Understanding of the travel market, including media and influencers
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-tasking, unique work environment
- Proven ability to resolve client issues quickly and efficiently
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in smaller teams and handling all aspects of client account work
- Solid portfolio of secured media coverage including newspaper, magazine, broadcast, and online coverage
- Comprehensive knowledge of the PR industry
- Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Cision, TravMedia, Google Analytics, Muck Rack, etc.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a “go-getter” attitude, able to spot opportunities and act on them quickly
- Enjoys building relationships with clients, media, and industry partners
- Experience in thought leadership pitching and broadcast is a plus
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with proven ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Ability to craft compelling story angles and creative pitch strategies tailored to diverse outlets.
- Experience handling high-profile media and influencers with discretion and professionalism.
- Proven track record of executing successful press trips, media events, or brand activations.
- Familiarity with luxury, travel, or hospitality client needs and expectations.
- Fluent Spanish speaker preferred
