Job Title: Senior Accountant – Shared Services Center

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and executing accounting and treasury-related processes within the Shared Services Center (SSC), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple group entities. The role supports monthly closings, manages payment processing and bank administration, supports the internal and external audits, and collaborates with global teams to maintain consistent accounting standards within the multinational group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Record and process bank statements, AR, AP, expenses, payroll, and travel costs.

• Handle intercompany billings and intercompany invoice processing.

• Perform and review general ledger postings, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP.

• Support the preparation of management reports and balance sheet reviews for assigned entities.

• Monitor and maintain intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring proper eliminations and documentation.

• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.

• Perform accounting activities for multiple legal entities, ensuring consistency and compliance across all jurisdictions.

Process & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls and Business rules.

• Identify opportunities to standardize and automate accounting processes within the SSC.

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of ERP systems and accounting tools.

• Participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.

• Assist with corporate and managerial reporting requirements.

• Maintain and organize financial documentation (e.g., invoices, bank statements, supporting documents) on SharePoint.

Treasury & Tax Support

• Manage day-to-day bank administration, including account setup, maintenance, and user access.

• Execute and review vendor and intercompany payments, ensuring proper authorization, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies.

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.

• Support automation and control improvements within the payment process (e.g., payment runs, approval workflows, system interfaces).

• Assist with preparation of tax packs and coordination with tax advisors for local compliance requirements.

Business Support & Collaboration

• Act as a finance partner to business units, providing accounting guidance and financial insight.

• Liaise with regional finance teams to ensure consistent application of accounting principles.

• Support new entity setups, migrations, and integration projects within the SSC scope.

• Train and mentor new employees and junior team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to company accounting procedures.

Qualification & Skills

Education & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and processes.

• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365 F&O, Navision, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Experience with bank administration, treasury operations, and payment processing systems.

• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
