THE ROLE

Our product development team is seeking a Senior AI Engineer who brings creative thinking, problem-solving, and proactive technical expertise to help us build outstanding web and mobile applications for our clients. You’ll be working on cutting-edge projects, solving challenges that were previously unsolvable without the use of AI

In this role, you will work within a dedicated product team consisting of the Tech Lead for the specific product, a Product Manager, a Designer, and a skilled team of engineers to drive the product’s success. From engaging in technical discussions to engineering complex features, your involvement spans the entire product development lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Integrate APIs (e.g., LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Hugging Face) into applications leveraging NLP and image recognition

  • Validate the output quality from AI models to ensure it aligns with business needs and provides value to end-users

  • Work on prompt engineering tasks, working with embeddings and RAG, customizing LLMs

  • Implement vector databases in Postgres for RAG systems

  • Design scalable, modular, and maintainable architectures for AI-powered applications

  • Collaborate with product teams to understand feature requirements and translate them into technical solutions leveraging AI models

  • Working with databases, data analysis, and data quality assessment

  • Optimize server-side logic to ensure efficient querying and integration with AI tools

  • Work with unstructured data (text, images, etc.) and convert it into model-ready formats

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

  • 3+ years of commercial experience building and shipping data science solutions

  • Strong Python programming skills, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and production-ready code

  • Solid foundation in statistical modeling, core ML algorithms, and optimization techniques.

  • Hands-on NLP experience

  • Working knowledge of LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, custom/private LLMs like MCP) for prompt engineering and model integration

  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced data manipulation techniques.

  • Proficiency in Exploratory Data Analysis and executing data quality assessment.

  • Understanding of ML evaluation methodologies and managing data science experimentation pipelines.

  • Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic, innovative approach

  • Proficiency in English

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Bayesian methods or other probabilistic modeling techniques.

  • Experience with data orchestration tools and MLOps principles.

  • Exposure to Full-stack development using TypeScript/JavaScript
