Backend Developer (Hyperliquid Focus)

Location: Remote (EMEA Region Only) Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $130K - $165K

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our team with a dedicated focus on integrating Hyperliquid functionalities into our API platform. This is a pure backend role—no frontend or design work is required—allowing you to focus entirely on building and shaping core infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is passionate about the Hyperliquid ecosystem and eager to help distribute programmatic trading features (such as TWAP and perps) to the broader DeFi ecosystem through high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extend our API stack to include Hyperliquid ecosystem projects and feature sets.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and backend engineers to improve integrations, routing, and user flows.
• Evaluate new opportunities for feature extensions within the ecosystem.
• Ensure robust, high-quality code with a focus on scalability and reliability for cross-chain trading.
• Participate in system design, documentation, and peer code reviews.

Requirements

• Regional Requirement: You must be located within the EMEA region to be considered for this role.
• Hyperliquid Expertise: Deep familiarity with Hyperliquid’s architecture, including builder codes (spot/perps), HIP-3, precompiles, and HyperEVM.
• DeFi Passion: A demonstrable interest in the Hyperliquid ecosystem through past projects or self-driven exploration.
• Technical Stack: High proficiency in TypeScript for building scalable APIs and backend systems.
• Core Fundamentals: A strong grasp of orderbook mechanics and experience working with programmatic trading features.
• EVM Knowledge: Solid background in backend engineering, specifically with EVM and integration patterns.
• Independence: Ability to drive integrations and propose new features with minimal oversight in a remote-first environment.
• Cross-Chain Experience: Previous work with bridges and multi-chain infrastructure is highly valued.
• Bonus Points: Familiarity with Solana, Bitcoin, or mobile backend development.
