Monks is looking for a dynamic and insightful strategist who understands that brand building and social media strategy go hand in hand. We’re looking for someone who can craft smart, socially-led strategies that not only engage audiences but also strengthen and grow brands in the digital space.
As a Brand & Social Strategist, you’ll play a key role in shaping the creative and strategic direction of our clients’ brands across multiple touchpoints — with a particular focus on social media. You’ll translate insights and trends into bold, actionable ideas that drive relevance, growth, and long-term connection between brands and their communities.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Development: Craft integrated brand and social strategies that align with creative direction and business goals, building campaigns designed to grow brand presence and impact across social channels.
  • Insight & Research: Analyze audiences, cultural trends, and competitive landscapes to uncover opportunities that inform creative strategy and help brands stay ahead of the curve.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Brand, Creative, Data, Paid Media, and Community teams to ensure cohesive execution across all initiatives.
  • Campaign Oversight: Define, track, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign success and continuously optimize strategies.
  • Social Thought Leadership: Champion a social-first point of view, ensuring that every brand action — from storytelling to engagement — feels authentic and culturally relevant.
  • Client Partnership: Present ideas clearly and confidently to clients, supporting recommendations with data, insights, and strategic rationale.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to connect data and insights to creative outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience managing and developing social and brand strategies that drive engagement and deliver measurable business results.
  • Adaptable and curious, with a passion for innovation and emerging trends in social media and brand marketing.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Google Suite, Miró, Jira, and analytics platforms.
Background & Skills
  • Background in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience in brand and/or social strategy roles.
  • Demonstrated success working with innovative, culturally driven brands.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior and community dynamics.
