We are seeking Senior Business Analysts with strong expertise in the payments domain to join a long-term engagement with a global leader in financial technology. As a Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with internal teams, clients, and developers to gather requirements, perform gap analyses, define integration approaches, and ensure the successful delivery of payment solutions.
This is a fully remote opportunity based in Mexico, ideal for experienced BAs who understand ISO 8583, card schemes, and payments processing inside and out.
Requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and management to define and document end-user requirements and specifications.Analyze and evaluate system requirements on a continuous basis.Conduct discovery sessions to understand the customer’s current payment process, solution, or platform.Perform gap analysis between client needs and existing product functionality.Write detailed business requirements and ensure clear handoff to development teams.Partner with developers and QA to define optimized system integrations.Support payments certification processes with acquirers, issuers, and card schemes.Translate complex data into actionable insights and visualizations for internal and external teams.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the payments domain.Advanced knowledge of ISO 8583 message formats and flows.Deep understanding of card scheme processes, certification workflows, and back-office banking operations.High proficiency in business requirement documentation.Fluent in Spanish (mandatory) and English (professional working proficiency required).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Strong customer service mindset.Familiarity with data visualization tools and translating insights into business actions.
Nice to ahve
Experience with one or more of the following payment platforms (functional perspective):IST Switch Clearing, MAS, CBK, Data Navigator, Fraud NavigatorPortuguese language skills (optional, not required).
