About This Role:

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer is part of the Security team and reports to our Director, SecOps. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security tooling and infrastructure. Partnering with DevOps, Engineering and Product teams, you will holistically ensure the integrity of our systems, applications, users and integrations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and services based on security best practices and industry standards.

  • Develop and maintain vulnerability management processes and procedures, including remediation efforts

  • Deploy and configure cloud-native security tools.

  • Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure

  • Automate security processes and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines

  • Manage and maintain Identity & Access Management roles and policies

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design secure architectures and solutions and to promptly remediate vulnerabilities

  • Monitor security alerts, analyze threat intelligence, and recommend proactive measures

  • Stay current with emerging security threats and industry trends to continuously improve security processes

  • Lead incident response and security incident investigations

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud computing, and enterprise infrastructure management.

  • Experience with crypto assets and web3 technologies.

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code.

  • Hands on experience with container and orchestration security.

  • Expert level understanding of security concepts.

  • Expert level understanding of networking concepts.

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)

  • Experience with next-generation firewalls

  • Experience working in technical teams in an Agile environment

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Relevant technical certifications such as Cloud Computing and Security

  • Autonomy is key; you have the drive to solve problems and motivation to work through complex technical problems.

Salary:

The starting pay range for this role is between USD$175,000 - USD$195,000 per year for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
