What you will be doing
You will be a key member of our esteemed and expanding transaction & investor services team and you will have the opportunity to take the lead on and manage a wide range of projects. The team significantly contributes to the success of Roland Berger's Amsterdam office. Our widespread recognition and extensive network are key factors in our success. You will have the potential to build a robust presence and reputation among the investor community. In addition, Roland Berger offers commercial flexibility allowing you to develop on your own perspectives and approaches.
You will work closely with partners and (senior) colleagues serving a broad range of top-tier Dutch and European private equity and strategic clients. Together, you will focus on topics that are shaping global discourse such as the energy transition, mobility, digitalization, and innovative business models.
You will design and lead holistic commercial due diligence efforts in the context of M&A deals, as well as develop value creation programs for portfolio companies. Your work will be grounded in deep analysis of markets and businesses, close collaboration with industry and functional experts, and a clear understanding of what drives value.

In doing so, you will help clients make confident investment decisions by identifying the true value of target companies and critically assessing their equity stories to unlock long-term potential.
As a Senior Consultant / Project Manager at Roland Berger you will:
- Take the lead for modules in larger projects, and complete project management of smaller projects (typically leading three to five consultants).
- Coach and develop the consultants in your project teams.
- Have direct client contact and lead presentations during client meetings.
- Work closely with industry experts at Roland Berger.
- Contribute to Roland Berger’s knowledge development by capturing insights and drawing lessons from client work.
- Participate in office-wide projects (e.g. in-depth studies on current topics) that further develop Roland Berger or its thinking in a specific area or sector.

Our requirements
- You have completed an academic university education (i.e. WO).
- You have between four and seven years of experience in strategy and/or management consulting or in strategic and/or operational roles at a large company or in the public sector. Having prior involvement in >15 commercial due diligence projects is a requirement.
- You have technical affinity and commercial insight.
- You can think analytically and structure arguments clearly.
- You work with precision.
- You are open-minded.
- You have experience managing others and delegating work to more junior team members.
- You are familiar with/experienced in (financial) modeling (Excel), visualizing presentations (PowerPoint) and storytelling.
- You have good oral, written and presentation skills and an excellent command of the English language.
