Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and services that enable reliable data access and insights across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong experience with AWS cloud technologies, data modeling, and API-based data consumption. This role requires both technical expertise and strategic thinking to ensure data is efficiently structured, scalable, and easily consumable through well-defined endpoints.

Responsibilities and Duties

Design and implement scalable data pipelines and data architectures to support analytics and application needs.
Develop and maintain data APIs and endpoints that enable efficient data consumption across teams and applications.
Ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility throughout the entire data lifecycle.
Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to define data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
Leverage AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, RDS, Athena, etc.) to build cloud-native data solutions.
Optimize data flows and query performance for both operational and analytical use cases.
Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering best practices, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications and Skills

5–7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in AWS cloud data services and infrastructure.
Experience designing data models and pipelines for API-based consumption (single endpoint or multi-source integrations).
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Airflow, AWS Glue, or similar).
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and data serialization formats.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
