Senior Data Engineer

Our team is seeking a Python Data Engineer to join us. The ideal candidate will have experience in both Python development and data management and will be responsible for developing data transformation pipelines to enable data migration and data analytics. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain Python Jupyter notebooks for extraction and transformation of HR data extracted from Success Factors for loading into the Oracle HCM system. 
• Develop and maintain other data transformation pipelines as required by the Development and Business Intelligence Team. 
• Implement measures to ensure the security and privacy of data, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring. 
• Collaborate with the rest of the Software Development and Business Intelligence Team on conceiving and delivering data transformation pipelines that meet the functional requirements of our internal stakeholders. 
• Build reusable code and libraries for existing applications and future use. 
• Support the Development Team in other work as required. 

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or Python Developer with a focus on complex data transformations 
• Strong expertise in Python, particularly with Pandas library for handling complex transformations. 
• Proficient in English
• Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks or similar Python notebook environments. Proficiency in SQL and REST APIs for querying and validating transformed data. 
• Familiarity with SuccessFactors data structures and Oracle HCM is a strong plus. 
• Experience with Azure services (Azure Logic Apps, or Azure Functions) is an advantage. 
• Ability to analyze and debug complex data transformation issues. 
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and workflow automation.
