At Sam’s Club, we're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team and help us unlock the power of data to drive smarter decisions and better outcomes. You’ll work closely with teams in Operations to design and deploy solutions that drive measurable impact—from improving efficiency to enhancing member experience.

Working side-by-side with Operations, we identify high-impact challenges and deliver solutions that optimize business processes, strengthen risk management, and enhance operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
Translate business challenges into measurable solutions.
Build and deploy scalable data products and models.
Build and stand up software and data products independently, demonstrating ownership of the full development lifecycle.
Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption.
Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences, presenting problems, hypotheses, and solutions with clarity and business relevance.
What You'll Bring:
5+ years of hands-on professional work experience as a data scientist.
Ability to perform well under pressure, maintain focus, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and dynamic environment.
Ability to manage conflicting and demanding priorities effectively.
Proven track record of translating complex business needs into data-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact and align with strategic objectives.
Strong knowledge of data engineering, including data pipelines, data quality, and database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
Python proficiency.
Expertise in analytical modeling techniques, feature engineering, and model assessment using best practice validation methods.
Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
Experience deploying and scaling analytical models in production environments with attention to sustainability and performance.
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated experience influencing and aligning stakeholders, bringing together different groups to collaborate on business needs.
A curious mindset and a passion for solving ambiguous problems and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Professional work experience with Spark and dashboarding.
Working knowledge and understanding of GenAI and AI solutions.
