Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Databricks Data Engineer (17526) to lead a critical data migration initiative from Snowflake on AWS to Azure Databricks and DBT. This role requires deep technical expertise in cloud data platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and data transformation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless migration and build scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the migration of data from Snowflake (AWS) to Azure Databricks and DBT.
• Assist in the initial integration process to ensure seamless connectivity and data flow between Snowflake and Azure environments.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform to support the migration.
• Support data transformation processes during and after migration using Databricks and DBT.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and integration points.

Qualifications and Skills

• Professional/ Advanced English
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer, with hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Azure Databricks, and DBT.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Experience with cloud-to-cloud data migration projects.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and Git-based version control.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is a strong plus.

Nice To Have

• Knowledge of security and compliance standards in cloud environments.
• Experience with additional cloud infrastructure tools and automation scripting.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., cataloging, lineage, monitoring, quality checks).
• Exposure to streaming data frameworks such as Kafka, Event Hubs, or Delta Live Tables.
