The Role
We are looking for a Senior Developer to become part of the team looking after MYOB's SaaS platform. This platform addresses the accounting, payroll, and compliance needs of small and medium enterprises (SME) in Australia and New Zealand.
What you will do
You’ll play a key role in building high‑quality software across multiple languages, delivering solutions that balance customer needs with delivery constraints. With a strong focus on security, performance, maintainability and extensibility, you’ll lead and document technical decisions at a team level while contributing to broader domain discussions alongside architects and principal engineers. You’ll champion technical excellence by driving down technical debt, improving test coverage and code quality, and promoting a security‑first mindset.
The skills you'll need
- An ability to deliver well-designed, high quality and robust solutions.
- Strong programming skills (our platform currently uses C#, React, Node).
- Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and concepts.
- Experience in at least one public cloud offering (we use Azure and AWS).
- Experience using modern CI/CD tooling suite with knowledge of the best practices.
- Open to learning other languages and frameworks that support our technical direction.
- Pragmatism to balance short term delivery focus with longer-term objectives.
- A growth mindset with a dedication to continuously improve team processes, practices and performance.
- Mentor and coach other team members, helping them develop their technical skills and grow professionally.
