The Sr Engineer Technical Services provides support and guidance to manufacturing in the areas of manufacturing processes, equipment operational capabilities, and equipment maintenance and equipment installation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review manufacturing needs and recommends manufacturing processes and machinery to meet company needs
- Develop detailed specification for machinery
- Negotiate pricing and delivery on machinery
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders for machinery purchases
- Maintain records on machinery purchased
- Direct, lead and perform installation of machinery
- Provide day-to-day support to plant maintenance personnel on an as needed basis
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or ten or more years experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment
- Steel processing industry experience highly desirable
- Verbal, written, interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in MS Office Suite applications
- Ability to travel 50%
