Senior Full-Stack Engineer (E-commerce Platform)

At EX Squared LATAM, we connect top engineering talent across the region with high-impact digital products. We’re currently looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a cross-functional team supporting a high-traffic e-commerce platform for a U.S.-based, mission-driven company.

We’re looking for a true full-stack engineer with strong frontend and backend experience, who has worked with Shopify as part of a broader, modern web architecture.

🚀 What You’ll Do

• Own and implement complex frontend features using React (and modern frameworks), with strong emphasis on performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

• Build and maintain backend APIs and services, supporting frontend functionality and integrations.

• Integrate frontend applications with Shopify Storefront APIs and internal backend systems.

• Work across the stack to deliver scalable, high-quality e-commerce experiences in a high-traffic environment.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Frontend, and Backend teams to ship polished, user-focused features.

• Drive best practices around code quality, modular architecture, performance optimization, and testing.

• Break down complex initiatives into incremental, shippable deliverables.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and help improve engineering standards across the team.

• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and technical collaboration.

🧠 What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience building complex web applications as a Full-Stack Engineer.

• Strong expertise in modern frontend development, particularly with React and component-based architectures.

• Solid backend experience building and maintaining APIs (experience with PHP/Laravel, Node.js, or similar backend stacks).

• Experience working with Shopify, preferably integrating custom storefronts via APIs — Shopify is important, but not the core skill.

• Comfort working in systems that span multiple backends and services.

• Strong understanding of scalable architecture, performance, and maintainable codebases.

• Experience improving existing codebases and engineering processes.

• Ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and refactoring approaches clearly.

• Experience collaborating in remote, cross-functional teams.

• Advanced English proficiency (C1), comfortable communicating with U.S.-based teams.
