Role Summary
HR Generalist developing towards HR Business Partner to support local HR delivery in France and help determine necessary HR solutions and deliver proactive value add HR support.
Working closely with Global HR Business Partners, the HR Operations teams and business managers to support hire to retire HR practices and the delivery of HR Projects and initiatives.
Please note this role must be within a commutable distance of our Paris office
What you will do
Providing a full suite of local HR generalist services locally in designated geographical region, managing all aspects of employee management from offer and contract production, onboarding, benefits enrolment, system changes, in and out of cycle employee changes through to handling employment terminations.
HR Administration
Supporting onboarding process from offer, contract, employee set up, orientation and other key administrative processes, e.g. payroll notifications, VISAs, background checks, benefits enrolment Payroll reporting, ensuring monthly updates on starters, leavers and in-period changes are captured, audited and shared timely with payroll Learning & Development registrations and reporting, upkeep of Learning systems, and management of OPCO account and training partners and the annual learning plan; Working Time records and cyclical management of management processes Ensuring H&S practices are applied timely, working with our global facilities team Support CSE (works counsel) activities, e.g. set up and minutes of meetings, provision of regular reporting (headcount etc), preparation of agenda and supporting information (especially information to be handed to the CSE in advance, adhering to strict timing guidance), etc. Managing occupational health needs including company doctor, medical visits, DUERP plan, etc. Proactive and reactive administration of employee register (systems report), personnel files and other auditable or ‘on-demand’ tools and reports Updating payroll with leave management records. Systems
Maintaining system updates and cyclical reviews with the respective HR HUB teams, including absence management, time management, working time, etc. and other new system implementations. Using our HR systems SuccessFactors and Lever (Talent Acquisition); ensuring all relevant organisational information is correct (cost centre, reporting lines, position numbers, etc), maintaining and updating systems in a timely fashion with a keen eye for accurate and thorough data capture. Programs
Supporting HR Business Partners implement specific programs and initiatives in the areas of performance management, recognition, workforce planning and employee relations. Work with our COE teams (i.e. Talent acquisition, L&D, C&B, Comms, Legal) to deliver on necessary activities. Supporting orientation programs Supporting global HR cycles, e.g. performance reviews, merit reviews, working time questionnaires, career conversations...
Employee Relations (depending on experience)
Provide subject matter expertise in local employment law, policy and processes, provide coaching and hands-on support to managers across a broad range of HR topics, ensuring local culture and legislation are understood and applied Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to line management on areas such as Performance Management, Career development and Employee Welfare
What you will bring
Essential
Proven generalist and administrative HR experience in an environment where change is the norm. Experience of managing cradle to grave administrative processes in France and annual cycle HR solutions and practices. Proven experience of managing multiple priorities Proven background of delivery in a complex and fast-paced international work environment Able to organise and structure the job so that work is completed accurately and timely, e.g. develop or work to an annual plan of actions Demonstrable ability to diligently see projects and work through to the appropriate end which also includes tying up loose ends, ensuring stakeholders are informed, filing information correctly and timely. Strong systems experience with commitment to accuracy and excellence in service delivery 3-5 years HR experience in HR administration. Fluent spoken and written business English and French.
Preferred Previous experience of working in an international business, proven to participate as a member of a broad HR team Project management experience Other European languages may be useful but not essential.
Skills & Abilities HR Qualified or working towards; knowledge of French employment law (or able to identify when knowledge is lacking and work with COE partners to build out knowledge). Highly collaborative with a strong desire to deliver results and create a positive work environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including English and French, with demonstrated ability to adapt to a variety of communication settings and styles Strong prioritisation skills Ability to work as part of a team, whilst simultaneously being accountable for personal delivery and results A desire to learn, grow – the ideal candidate may not have all the skills to the preferred standard, but will display a willingness to lean into new challenges and seek coaching and support from the team in their endeavours (which will be fully provided).
