Senior Java/Kotlin Backend Developer

Grab the opportunity to become a part of the most successful Czech fintech, FTMO. You will be responsible for developing new features and implementing new technologies and processes. You will work closely with other team members to improve the quality of the codebase, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the development of our Identity Provider solution.

What will be your agenda?

• You will be part of our Identity Provider team.

• Participate in the entire product lifecycle - from design and architecture through development to automated testing and operation.

• Take ownership of authentication and user profile management.

• Design, develop, and maintain authentication services based on Keycloak.

• Develop and maintain related Spring Boot (Kotlin) REST API microservices.

• Design and implement custom Keycloak extensions (SPIs, providers, themes, custom authentication flows, etc.).

• Monitor and evaluate system metrics and logs to identify performance, stability, and security improvements.

• Focus on delivering business value.

Valued experience and skills:

• Ability to independently design and implement solutions.

• Experience in the Authentication / Identity Provider domain.

• Knowledge of OpenID Connect (OIDC).

• Hands-on experience with running and customizing Keycloak.

• Experience with our current tech stack:

  • Java / Kotlin

  • Spring Boot

  • Keycloak (or another IAM solution)

  • PostgreSQL

  • Docker, Kubernetes

• Reliability and an ownership mindset.

• Fluency in Czech and English – we are an international team and communicate in both languages.

• Experience designing authorization architectures.

• Experience with distributed or microservice-based architectures.

• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability in production systems.

• Proactive mindset and genuine passion for continuous improvement.
