About the role
Weʼre looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own our buyer journey end-to-end, from initial acquisition through nurture, conversion, and expansion. This role combines lifecycle strategy with performance marketing to deliver personalized, data-driven experiences that move prospects through the funnel faster and more efficiently.
Youʼll manage our paid media agency, build segmented nurture programs, and partner
cross-functionally to optimize how leads flow through each stage by understanding where they
enter, where they get stuck, and how to accelerate time-to-value.
This hybrid role requires 2-3 days per week in-office in our San Francisco or NYC office, allowing for a balance of collaboration and flexibility.
What you'll own
Paid Acquisition (Strategy + Agency Management)
● Lead strategy, planning, and execution of paid campaigns across search, social, and other
digital channels.
● Manage our paid media agency and ensure alignment on goals, creative testing, spend
efficiency, and ROI.
● Partner with Integrated Marketing and PMM to develop messaging and offers that attract
high-quality leads.
Nurture Streams & Lifecycle Campaigns
● Design and launch automated, segmented nurture programs that drive engagement,
conversion, and expansion.
● Build personalized lifecycle campaigns that align with each stage of the funnel — from first
touch to closed.
Segmentation & Personalization
● Develop audience segmentation frameworks based on persona, intent, and behavior to
deliver more relevant journeys.
● Partner with Rev Ops to connect engagement data across platforms and inform targeting.
● Continuously refine personalization tactics to improve engagement and conversion
performance.
Funnel & Journey Optimization
● Conduct regular funnel and journey audits to identify friction points, drop-offs, and
opportunities to increase velocity.
● Partner with campaign managers and PMM to map messaging and content to each stage of
the buyer journey.
● Track and report performance across paid and lifecycle programs, turning insights into
actionable optimizations.
● Collaborate with Product and Growth teams to integrate product-led growth motions into
the funnel — aligning marketing touchpoints with in-product triggers, activation milestones,
and user behaviors that drive opportunity conversion.
You are ideal for this role if you have
● 6+ years of experience in lifecycle, demand generation, or growth marketing within B2B
SaaS or tech environments.
● Experience managing ad agencies, marketing automation and reporting tools such as
Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Metabase.
● Data-driven and analytical, with the ability to measure ROI, interpret funnel metrics, and
identify levers that accelerate qualified pipeline and conversion velocity.
● Strong cross-functional collaborator who works seamlessly with Rev Ops, Growth, and
Marketing to drive alignment and execute integrated go-to-market initiatives.
● Strategic and execution-oriented, able to zoom out to shape the full buyer journey while
diving into details to optimize campaigns and workflows.
● Excellent communicator and self-starter, skilled at translating complex ideas into actionable
plans and thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

The actual base salary will be determined based on a number of factors, which may include job-related skills, relevant experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market data. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include equity, variable compensation, and benefits. Compensation ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted as the role, individual performance, or market conditions evolve.
What we offer
Our goal is to competitively and fairly compensate every Semgrep employee with a system that equally rewards those who are vocal and those who are less comfortable making demands during the final steps of the hiring process. To that end, we generate internal compensation bands that are used when discussing and negotiating salaries. We update these based on market data to make sure they’re above the average for comparable roles.
We also invest in our employees’ well-being and long term success with comprehensive health plans, generous vacation time, 401k, learning stipends, and more. Our benefits are for everyone, so that you’re taken care of, and we work with individuals to make sure they have what they need, whether that’s quiet work space, adjusted hours, or something else.
Who we are
We have people from France and the Philippines, physics and philosophy, formal methods research and full fledged corporations. We’re new parents and new grads, aspiring authors and aspiring Americans, dog lovers and dogfooders. We get together often to bike, bake, and meet up in parks. In our interactions, we believe respect and honesty go hand in hand, and prioritize both.
Semgrep is an equal-opportunity employer seeking a diverse range of backgrounds. We value who you are — including your cultural heritage, your socioeconomic status, your age, your race, your gender, your sexual orientation, your disabilities. We value what’s vitally important to you — your family, your religion, your politics. We value what you love in this world — your music, your weekend pursuits. We believe in welcoming varied professional backgrounds, educations, and interests. If you’re exceptional in your role, believe in Semgrep’s mission, and treat Semgrep’s values as your own, you belong here.
