Role Overview

This Senior Network Engineer will take end-to-end ownership of the firm’s network infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and security across all environments. The role combines hands-on technical work with design, planning, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and optimize network architectures across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments
  • Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and lead root-cause resolution of outages
  • Implement and maintain network security controls to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access
  • Forecast capacity needs and plan upgrades to improve speed, resilience, and scalability
  • Partner with vendors on escalations, support contracts, and technical issue resolution
  • Maintain clear documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
  • Support infrastructure projects and other duties as needed in a dynamic environment

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on network infrastructure experience (LAN, WAN, and wireless)
  • Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, BGP, OSPF, and network security
  • Proven experience diagnosing and resolving complex, multi-layer network issues
  • Hands-on experience with multi-vendor network hardware
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, IT, or related), or equivalent professional experience

Strong Plus Factors

  • Experience in an AmLaw 200 or larger law firm
  • Relevant networking certifications
  • Involvement with ILTA or similar professional organizations
