Join us in redefining the creator economy with AI
Fanvue is the fastest-growing creator monetisation platform in the creator economy. We are the leading AI-powered creator-first platform, designed to empower creators worldwide to directly monetise their audience. We’re on a mission to redefine the creator economy by empowering creators to connect, share, and earn more efficiently.
🎯 The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to strengthen and scale Fanvue’s Platform Team. This role is critical to enabling our stream-aligned teams to ship independently, safely, and at speed as the company grows from 18 to 30+ engineers.
Today, the Platform Team is lean. Losing an experienced engineer without backfill creates real risk across reliability, developer experience, and delivery velocity. This role exists to reduce those risks, distribute platform knowledge, and build the infrastructure foundations that let every other engineering team move faster.
You’ll work on core platform primitives, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and database architecture, acting as an enabler rather than a bottleneck.
🚀 What You’ll Do
Build and evolve the infrastructure foundations that support Fanvue’s move toward a service-oriented architecture
Enable stream teams to deploy and operate services independently using platform-provided tooling and patterns
Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript), with a strong focus on safety, reuse, and automation
Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments
Support database architecture evolution, including Aurora PostgreSQL ServerlessV2, service-specific data stores, and scaling strategies
Build internal platform tools and automation to reduce operational toil and improve developer experience
Improve observability and reliability through CloudWatch dashboards, alarms, and SLIs/SLOs
Participate in on-call rotation, lead incident response when needed, and contribute to high-quality post-mortems
Act as a consultative partner to stream teams, helping them make good infrastructure decisions without slowing them down
Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing to eliminate single points of failure
👀 Who You Are
A senior engineer with strong experience building and operating AWS infrastructure in production
Deeply hands-on with AWS CDK (TypeScript) and comfortable treating infrastructure as code
Experienced with PostgreSQL, ideally Aurora/RDS, including performance tuning, replication, and scaling considerations
Familiar with service-oriented architectures or microservices and the infrastructure patterns that support them
Comfortable owning CI/CD pipelines and improving deployment reliability and safety
Platform-minded and consultative, focused on enabling other teams rather than gatekeeping
Proactive, autonomous, and aligned with Fanvue’s values of ownership, speed, and excellence
Someone who enjoys reducing friction, eliminating toil, and making other engineers more effective
Nice-to-haves
Experience supporting teams through platform or re-architecture initiatives
Familiarity with ECS Fargate–based workloads
Prior exposure to internal developer platforms or self-service tooling
✨ You’ll Thrive Here If
You enjoy building foundations that others build on
You care deeply about developer experience and system reliability
You like solving complex infrastructure problems pragmatically
You’re motivated by enabling teams to move faster without sacrificing quality
⚠️ You’ll Struggle Here If
You prefer working only on product features rather than platform foundations
You’re uncomfortable owning shared infrastructure
You prefer rigid processes over iterative improvement
