The Impact of a Pre-Sales Senior Technical Architect at Coupa:

The Coupa Technical Architects team is a core capability within the broader Solution Advisory team and is responsible for helping prospective and current customers to understand the overall Coupa Platform technology and how it is integrated with their IT strategy and existing (or to-be) landscape. Our approach is based on building trust with the layers of an IT organization to help them develop an understanding of how Coupa works, how it processes their data and how this is secured. 

What You'll Do:

  • Work as part of an account team to define IT engagement approach to build trust and advocacy for the Coupa Platform. Typically at Enterprise and Strategic account level and across multiple industry verticals
  • Provide technical presentations, explanations and discussions as required to prospective and existing customers that address some or all of the following areas:
  • -Coupa Platform approach and strategy
  • -Coupa AI architecture and approach
  • -Cloud Hosting Architecture
  • -Coupa Product Architecture
  • -Coupa Security and Compliance
  • -Integration to ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, D365, etc.
  • -Data management including AI models, processing, etc
  • Create, review and evolve assets including presentations, digital assets, videos, etc to assist in delivering technical information
  • Work with the RFP team on technology/security requirements and respond/review to the technical sections of RFI/RFPs as necessary
  • What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • 5+ years working for a technology company as a technical architect ideally in a pre-sales capacity
  • Proven technical aptitude and comfort with web-based applications and SaaS, PaaS and IaaS Cloud models, Infrastructure, Architecture, AI, Security, and Integration concepts as well as the application of these technologies in the enterprise environment to C-Level and Technical Team members
  • Experience with Finance and/or Procurement solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing and presenting clear and concise technical narrative
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • Keen decision-making skills, with the ability to make complex technology relevant at a business level.
  • Exceptional communication skills, multilingual skills a bonus
  • Ability to present complex information in a comprehensible manner (written and graphical)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing job environment in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Learning and exploring mindset
  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience
