Senior Product Designer

The Role:

Product Design sits at the very core of Aiven’s mission. This is a great opportunity to step into an integral role as a Senior Product Designer within our growing team. We are seeking creative thinkers who excel at approaching complex challenges from unexpected perspectives.Thinking sideways. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with world-class Engineers solving the toughest problems, where almost every project you work on is more complex and technically challenging than the previous one. Our Product Design team of talented designers collaborates closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure that our product stays simple, accessible, and usable as we scale.

What You'll Do:

You have 5+ years of experience in UX and design skills that are applied to a growing B2B SaaS/PaaS product as you will:

• Lead with the right level of design for the right audience at the right time
• Design working prototypes in Figma based on our Design System 
• Collaborate closely with your fellow Product Designers, Product Managers, and developers to ensure consistency in our overall product user experience
• Communicate and articulate your findings and design decisions in English, our main working language
• Be flexible and be comfortable with working in a dynamic environment that is continuously growing and changing
• Be pragmatic as you believe that continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection

What We're Looking For:

We need someone who approaches design challenges with creativity, curiosity, and an analytical perspective. As our target users are largely developers, database administrators, or otherwise technically oriented, you are also expected to be tech-savvy and comfortable diving into technical topics.
