🚀 About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to shape experiences that quite literally help save lives! This is a rare opportunity to join Carbyne’s design team and craft meaningful solutions that empower those who protect and respond when every second counts.

We’re looking for someone who thinks like a product builder, combining high design craft with deep systems thinking, and who thrives on solving complex, real-world problems with clarity and empathy.

You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Operations to design tools that empower emergency call-takers, dispatchers, and first responders to perform at their best under pressure. This role combines creative exploration with thoughtful execution, giving you the chance to shape not just the interfaces we build but the experiences that define how we help save lives together.

🎯 Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the full design process from discovery and ideation through UX flows, prototyping, and delivering innovative, intuitive user experiences.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other cross-functional partners to define, validate, and ship impactful features.
• Translate complex, data-rich workflows into human-centered interfaces.
• Contribute to and evolve Carbyne’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms.
• Explore and apply emerging AI tools and technologies to enhance both the design process and user experience.
• Advocate for users, accessibility, and design excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
• Elevate design quality and collaboration by sharing best practices and inspiring others.

Requirements

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product design within SaaS or technology-driven organizations.
• A portfolio showcasing creative and methodical product thinking, strong visual design foundations, and clear impact on shipped products.
• Deep understanding of UX processes and research, combining quantitative and qualitative insights to inform design decisions.
• Proven experience designing complex, data-rich systems and workflows.
• Practical experience with AI tools to enhance design processes and user experiences.
• Strong proficiency in Figma, design systems, and responsive UI patterns.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, proven to drive alignment and impact in agile, cross-functional environments.
• Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with global teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• You bring a collaborative spirit, good vibes, curiosity, a sense of responsibility, and care to your work.

Bonus:
• Experience with motion design (After Effects, Rive, or similar).
• Experience designing for mission-critical, AI-driven, or real-time platforms.
• A passion for purposeful design that drives real impact.
