The Senior Product Designer is responsible for the end-to-end user experience of products, projects, or features within the QAD Suite of ERP solutions. This role begins with in-depth research to understand customers, markets, business objectives, and technical constraints, and translates those insights into complete workflows, interactions, and experiences. The Senior Product Designer partners with global cross-functional teams to define UX vision and solve complex, real-world product challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Management to create user-centered experiences using personas, storyboards, user journeys, and flowcharts, representing the user perspective throughout the software development lifecycle.
Design and document wireframes, prototypes, and final mockups that balance strong technical understanding with creative problem-solving to deliver intuitive and efficient user experiences.
Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, senior leadership, and stakeholders to define and drive UX vision and strategy.
Conduct outside-in research to gain deep insight into real-world customer needs and business goals, and translate findings into actionable design solutions.
Validate and refine designs through reviews, usability testing, and feedback from end users.
Present UX insights, concepts, and design deliverables to stakeholders across the organization.
Consult with product teams and provide UX training, guidance, and resources to strengthen organizational UX maturity and skillsets.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
5–7 years of experience in product design, preferably within ERP systems or complex enterprise applications.
Expert-level interaction design skills with a strong command of the UX process.
Proven ability to communicate design solutions through storytelling and clear user narratives.
Demonstrated experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work in agile environments and adapt to evolving product requirements.
Strong aesthetic judgment and attention to detail.
Advanced prototyping skills.
Technical & Tool Skills
Expertise with design and wireframing tools such as Axure, Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, or Illustrator (strong Figma experience preferred).
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
Strong understanding of UI guidelines and best practices across major platforms (iOS, macOS, Windows, Google, and web).
Foundational knowledge of front-end technologies and design system architecture.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering to navigate technical trade-offs and deliver clear, implementable design specifications.
Additional Skills
Expertise in creating mockups and high-fidelity clickable prototypes using existing design systems.
