Why are we hiring this role?
As a Senior Product Designer at UpGuard, you’ll be designing new features for our rapidly-growing cybersecurity SaaS platform. Working closely with our growing Product Team, you’ll be fleshing out high-level concepts and turning them into prototypes. You’ll continue to be involved as the development team builds out these prototypes, obsessing over the details to create amazing user experiences. You’ll have plenty of scope to interact with our highly-engaged user community (from some of the biggest and best companies in the world).
What you'll be doing
Lead the design of end-to-end product experiences, from early concept through to polished execution and iterationPartner with PMs, engineers, and subject matter experts to shape feature direction and design decisionsAlign on discovery efforts, contribute to research plans, run interviews, and translate insights into opportunitiesPrototype and test ideas with the right level of fidelity for each stage of the processImprove core user flows by simplifying complexity and enhancing clarity and usabilityContribute to our design system and help raise the bar on design quality across teamsRefine designs using feedback from customers, product data, and internal inputCollaborate with engineers to build, test, and ship high-quality product experiences
What will you bring?
Experience: 5+ years of commercial product design experience with a strong track record of shipping simple, intuitive user experiences that solve real-world problems
Craft: You care deeply about quality, balancing visual polish with thoughtful problem-solving. Your portfolio shows strong interaction and visual design, as well as clear thinking behind the work and the outcomes it delivered
Proactivity: You take initiative, seek clarity, and drive your work forward without needing hand-holding. You're comfortable owning features end-to-end and navigating ambiguity with confidence
Systems: Experience contributing to and evolving design systems with engineers and designers. You also help shape internal team processes that improve collaboration, quality, and consistency
Communication: Clear communicator who explains design rationale well, gives actionable feedback, and works smoothly with remote teams
Collaboration: A low-ego, team-first approach to working with PMs, engineers, and other designers — you know when to lead, when to support, and how to uplift others
Growth mindset: You’re always looking to improve, open to feedback, and proactive about learning. You draw inspiration from industry best practice and apply it thoughtfully to your work
Tools: You have strong experience with Figma and use it to efficiently create production-ready designs. You’re comfortable with modern tooling and staying up to date as the ecosystem evolves
What would give you an edge?
