Build and execute a design roadmap aiming to act on opportunities to improve our users experience and business metrics. A proactive role capable of collaborating and communicating effectively with different stakeholders to ensure the relevance, quality and impact of design initiatives. Provides input for decision making and prioritization, and participates in team roadmap definition. May lead cross-team initiatives within UX.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Wallapop’s discovery journey, creating engaging, intuitive, and scalable user experiences. Your work will directly enhance marketplace vibrancy, enabling millions of users to discover and connect with unique items in innovative ways. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, where you’ll craft impactful deliverables such as design strategy documents, frameworks, and prototypes to drive Wallapop’s product vision forward. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders, you will ensure every design initiative delivers measurable value for both users and the business.

Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Product Managers, Researchers, and Analysts to define the design roadmap for your area, ensuring our goals align with user needs.

Data-Informed Design: Translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into elegant, actionable design solutions.

End-to-End Ownership: Champion the design process from early-stage discovery and research to high-fidelity UI and technical specs.

Consistency & Scale: Contribute to our global design guidelines, ensuring a seamless experience across all platforms.

Mentorship: Act as a thought partner for fellow designers, fostering a culture of growth, confidence, and design excellence.
What We’re Looking For 🔎

Product Expertise: You have a proven track record of designing mobile-first digital products at scale (e.g., marketplaces, e-commerce, or complex apps).

Problem Solving: You excel at framing ambiguous problems and delivering user-centered solutions that drive business impact.

Systems Thinking: Experience building or using scalable design frameworks and modular systems to maintain consistency.

Tools: Expert-level proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows.

Communication: Ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
Do note that all our jobs are 📍 Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self-organizes to decide on cadence and in-person/remote rituals.

Case Study Submission- you will be assigned a task to submit within 5 up to 7 days where you will be able to showcase your expertise / technical skills required for the role.
Expertise Interview- Live Exercise - run by the hiring team, focus on the required core skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 90 minutes.
Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.
Culture Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.
