About the position:
Salt is expanding and seeking an outstanding Product Manager to join our product group. If you have strong leadership skills, a proactive problem-solving approach, an entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and a steep learning curve - we are looking for you.
You will play a pivotal role in driving one of the core Application domain and capabilities, which are vital components enabling our entire API security value chain - from APIs discovery to APIs vulnerabilities, and detection. You will get to demonstrate your deep understanding within the application security domain (with a focus on API security architecture and ecosystem), excellent relationship-building skills with partners and internal stakeholders, and your ability to translate complex technical situations into smart product solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the full product lifecycle of a core application in our API security suite – from customer insights and planning through to delivery with engineering.
- Partner with UX and data teams to improve the product experience, enhance usability, and increase customer engagement.
- Drive integrations with leading cloud, security, and API management platforms – ensuring scalability and value across billions of API calls.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, UX, and go-to-market teams to align execution with business and product strategy.
- Help shape our roadmap by contributing product ideas, validating with customers, and continuously refining based on feedback and market trends.
- Stay on top of the API security landscape and competitive environment to inform product decisions and strategy.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, ideally in AppSec or API Security.
- Strong technical background – whether from hands-on engineering, research, or deep domain knowledge.
- 3+ years of product management experience in cybersecurity, cloud, data, or API-related domains.
- A track record of successfully leading products from concept to launch and iteration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and partners.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for solving hard problems and delivering impactful solutions.
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent – an advantage.
