What We’re Looking For:
2U is searching for a Senior Product Manager with a strong business mindset to grow edX consumer revenue, a key growth area for 2U and edX. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for growing edX consumer revenue through product-led acquisition, engagement, and retention tactics across the full customer lifecycle. You will support on-site go-to-market efforts, and will be a primary contributor to overall strategies for the enhancement and optimization of our commerce offerings. You will lead efforts to develop usage, value, and retention strategies, helping learners achieve their desired educational outcomes through edX.
You’ll develop and drive an ambitious and innovative roadmap to bring value-added features and offerings into the product to increase learner value, improve customer LTV, and build a moat against competitor offerings.
You’ll regularly engage with learners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to identify, synthesize, and clearly communicate product requirements that create an outstanding experience and achieve desired outcomes for our learners and our university partners. Your work will help learners around the world find and succeed in courses on the edX platform, helping them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Define strategy, target outcomes, and product priorities informed by customer and business needs.
- Create comprehensive roadmaps in support of delivering critical outcomes and regularly measure and communicate impact; adjusting course as needed.
- Interact directly with learners, educators, other product managers, and organizational stakeholders to understand emerging product needs and capture these in the form of product memos, demos, and executive presentations
- Define the engineering backlog, technical requirements, and product features and lead a cross functional team of engineering, data science, UX, and others to design solutions and deliver results
- Represent your team and work with edX leadership, the company, and external stakeholders
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally in B2C ecommerce or subscriptions-monetized consumer business
- Demonstrable experience driving revenue and engagement through product-led strategies and tactics
- Experience building and owning a product roadmap
- Structured and data-driven thinking with a strong bias to action
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
- Strong empathy and intuition for our learners and customers
- Experience with agile software development
- Desire to improve access to education around the world
- Strong understanding of technical concepts
Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
- Experience with consumer subscription models
- Experience in eCommerce including B2C and B2B purchasing models

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($143,000 - $163,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
