Nielsen Outcomes focuses on brand and buyer outcomes measurement, and empowers advertisers, publishers and agencies with the intelligence they need to drive revenue, increase market share, and optimize their audiences and investments. 

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and execute the Outcomes product vision within our data processing pillar. This is a critical role for an individual with product management experience and familiarity with big-data for media and advertising. You will lead the execution of the product strategy and roadmap for your pillar, drive and architect automation processes and databases, and be responsible for technical product requirements to ensure our products meet evolving client and industry needs, and grow Nielsen’s business.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Innovation

  • Own and drive the product vision and strategy for our Outcomes data processing platform, focusing on data ingestion, transformation, and governance.

  • Act as the subject matter expert on media measurement, databases, and 3rd party data assets within the advertising space. 

  • Stay on top of industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging technologies to inform our product decisions.

Execution and Delivery

  • Manage the product backlog and lifecycle from discovery to feature definition, development, and go-to-market launch.

  • Write robust technical product requirements in collaboration with engineering and data science.

  • Utilize data and qualitative feedback to measure product performance and identify optimization opportunities.

  • Lead change management initiatives, including user training, documentation, and support, to ensure successful adoption of new data products and features.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, operations, marketing, and sales to bring products from concept to launch.

  • Champion your products, communicating their value and vision to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Build strong, ongoing relationships with internal product and data teams to understand needs, champion feedback loops, and evolve solutions.

  • Manage trade-offs between platform performance, feature development, and technical debt, communicating recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in product management, with a significant focus on Digital and TV advertising/media industry and ideally 8+ years in a relevant industry.

  • A strong understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, including ad tagging, audience data, identity solutions, and measurement.

  • Strong analytical and technical fluency, comfortable querying data warehouses and data lakes using SQL, and able to understand data architecture, APIs, and platform scalability challenges.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling complex products in a fast-paced environment.

  • A natural problem-solver with a knack for turning complex problems into clear, actionable plans.
