Key Responsibilities

• Use technology to create innovation that delights consumers, and agents, and disrupts the industry
• Define work and drive technical decisions for complex features in the consumer and agent facing experiences
• Collaborate across functional teams to solve business problems, and lead each step of the product development process: from ideation to release; rapidly prototyping, experimenting and delivering solutions that scale to support millions of users
• Connect business and consumer problems to proposed technical solutions. Work with product and other stakeholders to rapidly deliver high-impact value and measure using data
• Define and evolve the architecture, design, and implementation of web-based consumer and agent-facing experiences, following clean architecture principles and modern frontend best practices. 
• Make effective and timely technology choices for implementing solutions, often without complete information. 
• Drive a stable and scalable web architecture using modern frontend patterns to deliver a first-class user experience across consumer and agent-facing applications. Champion the adoption of design patterns, coding standards, and frontend development best practices.
• Help improve code generation and quality by utilizing agentic AI and best practices
• Mentor and coach junior engineers

Must-have Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software architecture, design and development, with specialty in web frontend.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries (React, Svelte, Vue, NextJS, Remix, Astro, etc.).
• Experience with TypeScript frontend web or app application development.
• Frontend paradigm: async, declarative, promise, callback, server-driven UI.
• Strong skills in JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Experience designing and implementing micro-frontend architectures to support team autonomy and independent deployments.
• Ability to clarify product requirements, conduct technical discussions, and design features (e.g., a chat app including frontend/backend contracts).
• Focus on performance, scalability, testing, and handling edge cases.
• Understanding of backend interaction; full stack experience is a plus.
• Good knowledge of distributed systems architecture from one or more cloud providers, preferable AWS, utilizing infrastructure as code.
• Experience building maintainable and scalable systems.
• Experience with agentic AI code generation is a plus.
• A data-driven approach with strong results and outcome-oriented focus, understanding the value of rapidly shipping code and iterating on results.
• Strong empathy for consumers and agents, and a passion for exceeding expectations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, connecting effectively with cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to decompose complex business problems and communicate solutions succinctly.
• Passion for learning, continuous improvement, sharing, and teamwork.
• Independent, able to manage own projects and time while setting and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice-to-have:

• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
