Join Us in Building the Future of Home Robotics
At Sunday, we're developing personal robots to reclaim the hours lost to repetitive tasks. We're focused on an ambitious goal to make generalized robots broadly accessible, enabling households to take back quality time.
We have spent the last 18 months building a talented team, securing capital, and validating our technology. We are now seeking passionate individuals to join us in the next phase of our growth. If you are ready to apply your skills to the forefront of robotics innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
What to Expect
We are looking to hire a Senior Reliability and Test Engineer to contribute to the development and validation for our next-generation home robots and data collection systems. In this role, you will help take early concepts from prototype into mass production. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly on central challenges in robotics while the product is still in its early development stages.
What You’ll Do
Partner with product management and design engineering teams to:
Proactively identify high-risk failure modes early in the design phase and collaborate with engineering teams to mitigate them
Develop new reliability tests grounded in physics of failure and informed by expected user behavior
Own tasks related to Regulatory Compliance, including requirements research, pre-compliance validation, and certification activities
Design, build, and deliver critical test equipment and detailed test specifications.
Conduct hands-on reliability and validation testing while managing internal test technicians and external supplier testing teams
Coordinate with internal teams and vendor engineers to ensure on-time test execution
Support failure analysis efforts and provide design improvement recommendations based on test data and findings
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of hardware reliability test engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a hardware-focused field (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Equivalent)
Strong attention to detail with excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
Proven experience working on product certification processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., UL, FCC, CE, RoHS)
Statistical modeling and forecasting experience
Ability to travel internationally
At Sunday Robotics, we’re building technology shaped by real people — curious, creative, and diverse. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply. Studies show that women and underrepresented groups often hold back unless they meet 100% of the criteria — we don’t want that to be the reason we miss out on great talent.
