Senior Software Development Engineer (Backend) - Subs & Pay

Job Summary: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of core systems that drive JioStar’s advertising capabilities - from ad delivery and targeting to measurement and optimization. You’ll own large-scale projects end to end, operate with autonomy, and play a key role in shaping the architecture and future direction of our high-throughput, low-latency systems. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on solving hard distributed systems problems and mentoring others toward engineering excellence.

About the Team: JioStar’s Subscriptions and Payments Team powers the end-to-end direct monetization engine for India’s largest subscription platform, with over 250M+ subscriptions. We build scalable, multi-tenant systems for acquiring users via D2C and partner channels, reducing churn through intelligent renewal and retry mechanisms, and integrating deeply with global and local payment ecosystems like UPI Autopay and card mandates.
