Accountabilities:

Develop new features and improve existing ones with an emphasis on code quality, performance, and maintainability

Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver innovative solutions that meet user needs

Participate in defining application architecture and implementing best practices across the codebase

Mentor and review work of junior engineers to ensure high standards and team growth

Contribute to incident response processes and participate in on-call rotations to maintain platform reliability

Focus on delivering value to users quickly and iteratively, prioritizing outcomes over effort

Requirements:

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping and maintaining production software

Strong proficiency in fullstack JavaScript/TypeScript technologies, including React, Node.js, Postgres, and Docker

Experience with backend development, event-driven architectures, and modern software engineering practices

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining high-quality results

Nice to have: experience with AI/ML components, LLM or generative models, AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, Bedrock), OpenAI, or Python

Awareness of ethical considerations in AI and software development
