- Position Description: Senior Solutions Architect – Application & Software DME
- Business Integra, Inc. (BI) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect – Application & Software DME, expert in application modernization, to architect application development and/or modernization solutions for federal agencies.
- BI enables mission success through innovative IT solutions. BI is quickly building a reputation as a thought leader in areas of application modernization and IT transformation. As a trusted partner, BI assists federal missions to move away from rigid application architectures. BI assists to conceptualize, build and deploy secure, flexible, dynamic application platform environments, where a significant portion of the stack is shared. When the infrastructure is scalable, redundant and secure, application development teams can focus all their attention on the functionality to meet the needs of the mission, the results are reduced costs tied to infrastructure and improved product quality.
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Solutions Architect will have tech volume responsibility for solution architectures in support of proposals requiring approaches to application modernization and application portfolio transformation.
The Sr. Solutions Architect will have responsibility for contributions to the evolution of BI’s transformation framework.
The Sr. Solutions Architect will have responsibility for an application modernization program, unique per target customer, based on BI’s broader transformation framework.
The Sr. Solutions Architect will have an ability and willingness to conceptualize and create white papers and other thought leadership artifacts.
The Sr. Solutions Architect will have an ability and willingness to work towards becoming a recognized industry expert in the field of application modernization.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Education and Certifications
BS/BA in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
PMP and ITIL Certified (Highly Desired)
Qualifications
Experience conceptualizing solution architectures, in support of proposals requiring approaches to application modernization and application portfolio transformation.
Experience with traditional and next generation data processing and management tools and frameworks, for example: SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Hadoop.
Ability to create conceptual draft graphics in Word, PPT or Visio.
Strong technical writing skills; ABILITY TO WRITE.
Experience with traditional and next generation scripting, analytics, programming, PaaS, DevOps and Container tools and frameworks, for example: JavaScript, Python, SaS, R, Java, .Net, C, C++, C#, Red Hat OpenShift, Amazon Web Services platform services, Chef, Puppet, Docker.
Experience as a Development Lead and/or Software Architect, with Agile disciplines and tools.
