Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our national engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and dynamic team working on diverse and complex projects. This is a full-time, office-based role located at our Brisbane Head Office.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

• Conduct structural peer reviews of complex projects and provide advice on risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Engineering, Project, and Leadership teams to optimise designs and propose risk mitigation strategies.
• Perform structural analysis and compliance checks in line with relevant standards and regulations.
• Assess constructability and temporary stages, providing technical advice in collaboration with the Methods and Project teams.
• Be proficient in undertaking schematic and detailed analysis and design of steel structures and conventionally reinforced, pre-cast and post-tensioned (PT) concrete elements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Senior level of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and proficiency in structural analysis.
• Strong understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Demonstrated experience across a broad range of markets and large-scale, complex projects.
• Expertise in long-span steel structures (e.g. stadiums and venues) and PT detailed design.
• Design proficiency in Concrete and Steel structures, including soil-structure interaction.
• Strong skills in calculations and interpretation of engineering specifications, drawings and reports.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
