What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator to be a foundational pillar of our IT organization. This is not a ticket-closing role. We need a proactive owner and architect who can build and manage the technology ecosystem that empowers our entire company. You will have the autonomy to design, implement, and refine the systems and processes that make our organization more secure, efficient, and productive.

You will be the go-to expert for our modern, cloud-native tech stack, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Jamf, and AWS. If you thrive on automating processes, solving complex challenges, and building scalable IT infrastructure from the ground up, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Architect & Strategize: Design and own the roadmap for our corporate IT infrastructure. Develop governance policies and scalable processes for identity management, device security, application access, and IT support.

  • Administer & Automate: Serve as the lead administrator for our core SaaS/IaaS platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Slack, Atlassian Suite). Leverage scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) and native tool automation to eliminate manual work, streamline user lifecycle management, and integrate systems.

  • Secure & Optimize: Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems. Manage endpoint security and configuration with Jamf, enforce access policies with Okta, and monitor our cloud environment for performance and compliance.

  • Empower & Support: Build a world-class employee experience by providing reliable systems and excellent support. Act as a senior escalation point, create clear documentation, and manage our IT service desk (Jira Service Management) to ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Collaborate & Deliver: Partner with Security, HR, Engineering, and other departments to understand their needs and deliver technology solutions that help them achieve their goals.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a cloud-first environment.

  • A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently. You can take a high-level goal, break it down, and execute without constant supervision.

  • Deep expertise in Identity and Access Management, with hands-on experience managing an IdP like Okta.

  • Proven experience managing core business platforms, including Google Workspace for productivity and Jamf for Apple device management.

  • Proficiency in administering the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence), with a knack for creating clean workflows and automations that serve the business, not just the tool.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in a language like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. You default to automating a task rather than doing it twice.

  • A solid understanding of IT security principles, networking fundamentals, and cloud infrastructure (especially AWS basics).

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points For:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, Jamf Certified Admin, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps culture.

  • Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
