We are looking for a Senior Systems & Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies and Microsoft Azure to drive cloud migration and transformation initiatives. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, the ability to guide engineering teams, and deep knowledge of security and networking. The engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and securing modern cloud and hybrid environments while working closely with internal customers & stakeholders.
Key activities and responsibilities of the role include:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud and hybrid solutions
- Lead and deliver cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, execution, and optimization
- Support cloud transformation initiatives, modernizing on-premises environments and legacy systems
- Manage Microsoft platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
- Design and implement secure cloud and hybrid infrastructures
- Apply security best practices using Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Center, identity and access management, and conditional access
- Design and support network solutions, including VPNs, firewalls, routing, load balancing, ExpressRoute, and network security groups
- Work closely with IT Security & Network Teams to conduct security and risk assessments and recommend improvements
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud and infrastructure environments
- Support operational excellence through documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement
- Guide engineering teams by providing technical direction and best practices
- Travel to project sites as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. MSc. is considered a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure roles
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft enterprise technologies
- Demonstrated experience with cloud and hybrid migrations
- Solid understanding of security and networking principles
- Experience in leading or guiding technical teams is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal knowledge of English. Knowledge of an additional language is a plus
- Availability to travel as required
