NETGEAR is seeking a technically skilled, customer-centric Senior Systems Engineer to support our Enterprise IT and ProAV customers. This role provides technical leadership throughout the sales cycle and beyond, ensuring successful deployment of wired and wireless enterprise networking solutions. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor with deep expertise in Wi‑Fi, LAN switching, cloud networking, and Zero Trust security, and plays a critical role in relaying customer feedback to influence product strategy and innovation. AV over IP experience is a plus.
Partner with account teams to deliver pre-sales technical consultation, solution design, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts tailored to enterprise requirements.
Lead the architecture and deployment of enterprise-grade Wi‑Fi, switches, routers, security, and cloud-managed solutions.
Present technical content to diverse audiences, including IT stakeholders, channel partners, and internal teams.
Serve as a technical bridge between customers and NETGEAR Support, ensuring smooth post-sales transitions, managing escalations, and delivering a consistent customer experience.
Act as the voice of the customer by gathering, analyzing, and communicating technical feedback and feature requests to Product Management to help shape product direction and future releases.
Design and support secure networking environments leveraging Zero Trust architecture, including user/device segmentation, role-based access, and secure onboarding.
Promote and support adoption of cloud platforms that enable scalable multi-site management, including:
Zero-touch provisioning
Real-time alerts
Firmware lifecycle management
Network analytics
Conduct detailed RF planning and network design using tools such as Ekahau (or similar).
Enable and support NETGEAR’s channel ecosystem (MSPs, VARs, distributors) through technical training, solution guidance, and joint customer engagements.
Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, market trends, and the evolving enterprise IT landscape.
Professional working proficiency in Japanese and English (required).
5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
Wi‑Fi 6 / 6E / 7 wireless networking technologies
Layer 2/3 networking: switching, VLANs, routing, and QoS
Enterprise security best practices
Cloud-managed networking (NETGEAR Insight or competitive platforms)
Zero Trust concepts, including identity-based access and micro-segmentation
Strong troubleshooting and solution development skills across wired and wireless networks
Experience using RF design tools (e.g., Ekahau, Hamina, etc.)
Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CWNA, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent)
Experience working with channel partners, MSPs, and mid-market enterprise customers
AV over IP experience is an added advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and build trust with both technical and business audiences
Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
Team-oriented with a passion for customer success and product excellence
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Willingness to travel 25–50%, depending on territory needs
