Service Coordinator (Early Careers)

Our work focuses on ensuring customers’ energy efficiency needs are met through Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology, primarily within Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) applications, while also serving the Water and Industrial sectors. Our customers include hospitals, universities, commercial buildings, and governmental agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Through advanced VFD solutions, we help ensure building management systems, pumps, fans, and cooling towers operate as efficiently as possible. The Ambient team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
Role: Service Coordinator (Early Careers)
We are seeking an entry-level Service Coordinator to join our team. This position supports the coordination of VFD projects while assisting with administrative duties related to VFD operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to and assisting the Director of Operations of SSI
- Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and installation appointments with technicians and clients
- Maintain detailed records of all VFD’s, including maintenance histories, warranties, and service schedules
- Process work orders and maintenance requests, ensuring proper prioritization and timely completion
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for VFD’s systems
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project status and updates
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
- Assist in coordinating emergency VFD service calls as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project scheduling and coordination
- Working knowledge of Business Central or Great Plains
Compensation: $25 hourly plus benefits
