Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a SharePoint Developer Specialist to join our team at Vandenberg SFB. The SharePoint Developer Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint environments to centralize document storage, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across S4S. This position supports the organization by creating and managing enterprise SharePoint solutions that streamline workflows, enhance operational visibility, and promote secure information sharing. The developer works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, plan enhancements, and implement improvements to ensure mission users can efficiently organize, access, and manage records and project data.

What you will be doing:

  • Design, develop, configure, and deploy Microsoft SharePoint Server and Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online solutions that support document management, records management, automated workflows, and collaboration within on-premises or virtual environments.
  • Plan and implement SharePoint site architecture, configuration, and content publishing across major sites and subsites, ensuring standardization, accessibility, and operational alignment.
  • Meet with stakeholders regularly to gather requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and implement modifications to enhance site functionality and usability.
  • Design and develop custom SharePoint applications, forms, and workflows that automate routine business processes and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop custom web parts, macros, templates, and live tiles to improve functionality and user experience while maintaining consistency with organizational branding and standards.
  • Develop solutions leveraging JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XSLT, and XML to create tailored user interfaces and dynamic content for SharePoint environments.
  • Integrate enterprise content and data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 applications, into dashboards and visual reports.
  • Develop automated business processes using SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, and Nintex Forms/Workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Produce PowerShell scripts to automate administrative functions, reporting, and troubleshooting activities within SharePoint environments.
  • Provide technical recommendations regarding hosting environments, security configurations, and system optimization to improve performance, scalability, and user adoption.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce permissions models and access controls to ensure compliance with DoD and organizational security requirements.
  • Monitor site performance, usage, and storage metrics, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain optimal service levels.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure all SharePoint solutions meet RMF and data protection compliance requirements.
  • Reinforce security and protect data integrity throughout the design, deployment, and sustainment lifecycle of all SharePoint environments.
  • Support user adoption by developing instructional materials, conducting briefings, and providing end-user training on SharePoint tools, forms, and workflows.
  • Coordinate with Knowledge Management and IT System Engineering teams to ensure SharePoint solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and information assurance policies.
  • Provide tiered technical support to resolve user issues, workflow errors, and integration challenges within SharePoint applications.
  • Maintain version control, configuration documentation, and change management records for all SharePoint deployments and updates.
  • What you will need:

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Minimum of 7–9 years of experience designing, developing, and administering SharePoint environments, including custom workflow development, systems integration, and site architecture design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and at least four years of relevant experience.
  • Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II within six months of the date of hire.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365. Proficiency in SharePoint administration tools and utilities, including ULS logs, SharePoint Designer, and Power Automate. Strong understanding of workflow automation, forms-based processes, and integration with Microsoft productivity services. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse technical and functional teams.
  • In compliance with California's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $140,000-$1600,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
